Mark Borowiecki signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Nashville Predators on Friday. It has an average annual value of $2 million.
The 30-year-old defenseman scored an NHL career-high 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) in 53 games with the Ottawa Senators last season.
Selected by the Senators in the fifth round (No. 139) of the 2008 NHL Draft, Borowiecki has scored 51 points (15 goals, 36 assists) in 375 regular-season games through nine seasons in the League and no points in eight Stanley Cup Playoff games.
