NEW YORK -- Ottawa Senators goalie Andrew Hammond left with 3:15 remaining in the first period against the New York Islanders at Barclays Center on Sunday because of what appeared to be a lower-body injury.
Hammond contorted his body after a shot by Islanders forward Shane Prince went behind him and was favoring his left leg while being helped off the ice.
Hammond, who was making his first start since Oct. 28, made seven saves. He was replaced by Mike Condon. Hammond returned to the Senators bench in the second period.
