The 25-year-old scored three goals and added five assists over 36 games with the Oilers in 2015-16.

Kassian started the season with the Montreal Canadiens after they acquired him last off-season from the Vancouver Canucks. The Windsor native never saw a game with the Habs as he was suspended and sent to the NHL's substance program after he broke his nose and left foot during a early morning car accident in the pre-season. Kassian was not the driver.

In 234 career games with the Buffalo Sabres, Canucks and Oilers, Kassian has 38 goals and 36 assists for 74 points.
