Music: {allcanada} Man launches campaign to ban Nickelback gigs from London, England

Brit Craig Mandell has launched a crowdfunded Kickstarter campaign to keep Canadian rockers Nickelback from performing in London.

Inspired by recent online campaigns to raise funds for Foo Fighters gigs in Cornwall and Birmingham, England, Mandell has decided to offer music fans the chance to be part of an anti-concert initiative.

He is hoping to raise $1,000 to keep Chad Kroeger and his bandmates out of London for the foreseeable future.

On his Don't Let Nickel Back Kickstarter page, Mandell writes, "With your help, we can ensure that the band do not schedule any gigs here, do not attempt to come here - nor even phone here... Just imagine, thousands - perhaps tens of thousands of music lovers - all not witnessing an exclusive concert by Nickelback in London. It will be glorious."

Those who donate to the cause will have their names added to a collection of emails that will be sent to sent to Nickelback's management company.

Mandell has given himself until November 3 to raise the funds.
