Joe Mack's days with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers could be numbered.

According to the Winnipeg Free Press, Bombers CEO Garth Buchko made a recommendation to the team's board of directors to fire the general manager.

It's expected the Bombers will promote assistant GM Kyle Walters on an interim basis if the board approves the recommendation.

The board is reportedly scheduled to meet Tuesday, but an emergency meeting could be convened in the interim.

The Bombers are 1-5 this season and have a 21-39 record in just over three seasons with Mack at the helm.
