EDMONTON - A worker has been hurt in a collapse of a concrete ceiling at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium.
City officials say the contractor was working in the Edmonton Eskimos dressing room Wednesday when the ceiling of a steam room caved in, trapping him.
The man had to be freed by a fire and rescue crew in a meticulous process that took about an hour.
He was taken to hospital and officials said his condition was not yet known.
However, he was said to be conscious and was able to speak with paramedics.
City officials said occupational health and safety staff arrived on scene shortly after the incident occurred.
