{allcanada} TFC: FRINGS' INJURED SHOULDER TO BE CHECKED OUT TUESDAY

TORONTO -- Toronto FC captain Torsten Frings' injured shoulder will be checked out further Tuesday, according to the MLS club.

The former German international was hurt on a corner in a collision with teammate Doneil Henry during Saturday's 2-0 loss to visiting D.C. United.

Frings and Henry were both going for a header in the Chicago penalty area and Henry's head seemed to drive into Frings's shoulder.

Frings, who missed five weeks after injuring his hamstring in the season opener in Seattle on March 17, tried to continue but was substituted shortly after.

"Torsten sustained an injury to his shoulder during Saturday's match against D.C. He will undergo further evaluation on Tuesday," Toronto FC tweeted Monday.

Toronto FC has lost all eight league games to start the season.

The team hosts Montreal on Wednesday in the second leg of their Amway Canadian Championship semifinal. Toronto FC doesn't play against until May 19 at D.C. United.
