When Canadian actress Nia Vardalos was asked to guest-star on Cougar Town, apparently she took the "cougar" part very seriously.
Then again, when you consider the object of cougar attraction for Vardalos' character, it isn't quite as scandalous as we might think.
Vardalos appears in a new episode of Cougar Town titled Damaged By Love, which airs Wednesday, May 11 on ABC and Citytv.
Vardalos plays Angela, who shows up to visit married couple Ellie (Christa Miller) and Andy (Ian Gomez).
Angela is the wife of Andy's brother, but her aggressively flirtatious manner toward Andy - including an impromptu dual yoga session - has Ellie seeing red.
In real life, however, Vardalos and Gomez have been married for close to two decades. So maybe they've done those yoga moves together before.

Vardalos, a native of Winnipeg, became an international celebrity with the success of her movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding in 2002.
