QUEBEC -- The Gatineau Olympiques completed a stunning comeback in their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League semifinal series Tuesday, advancing to the league final with a 5-2 win over the Quebec Remparts.

The Olympiques were down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series to the Remparts, who finished the regular season in third place. But Gatineau won three straight, including two in Quebec City, to advance to the President's Cup final for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

Gatineau will face the top-ranked Saint John Sea Dogs in the final.

Christian Ouellet had two goals, including the winner, and added an assist for Gatineau. Philip-Michael Devos had two goals and two assists, while Mitchell Porowski also scored.

Mirko Hoefflin and Joel Champagne replied for Quebec.

Maxime Clermont made 31 saves for Gatineau.

Louis Domingue started in goal for Quebec but left after allowing two goals on four shots. Jimmy Appleby made 20 saves in relief.

Gatineau scored twice in the first period to take an early lead, but Quebec tied with a pair of goals in the second.

Ouellet broke the tie 5:25 into the third period, then Porowski made it 4-2 just under a minute later.

Devos scored into an empty net to ensure the crowd of 11,815 would go home disappointed.
