JETS (27-29-5) at SENATORS (31-19-6)
5 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, TSN5, TSN3, NHL.TV
Jets team scope
The Winnipeg Jets will attempt to extend their point streak to four games. They're 2-0-1 in their past three following a 3-1 win against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. "It's a continuation," coach Paul Maurice said. "We've had three really, really strong games, and more of the same [Saturday]. They're almost identical games that we've played, really strong with our gap, not giving the other team a whole lot, and getting enough offense. The time of year says you're probably not going to see the 7-6 games anymore and you're going to get into the 2-1 games, and we were comfortable with that." The Jets (59 points) are three points out of the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference held by the Calgary Flames, who have two games in hand.
Senators team scope
The Ottawa Senators are 9-4-2 in their past 15 games and can take over first place in the Atlantic Division with a win. The Senators are two points behind the Canadiens with three games in hand. Goalie Mike Condon, coming off a 21-save shutout against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, will start. One area the Senators will be looking to improve is the power play. They're 23rd in the NHL at 16.9 percent and 28th on home ice (13.7 percent). Forward Mark Stone had an NHL career-high five points (one goal, four assists) in a 6-3 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.
