1990: Brett Hull becomes half of the first father-son combination in NHL history to score 50 goals in a season when he scores early in the third period of the St. Louis Blues' 6-4 victory against the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs.
The son of Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Hull gets his 50th goal of the 1989-90 season when he beats Toronto goaltender Jeff Reese low to the stick side on a breakaway.
Bobby Hull, a five-time 50-goal scorer with the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1960s and '70s, is at the game.
"I wasn't really nervous until I saw him in warmups," the younger Hull says. "I said, 'Oh, no, now he put a little pressure on me. I've got to do it.' It makes it all the better that he's here."
