The Toronto Argonauts are getting closer to fielding a healthy lineup.
Head coach Scott Milanovich said quarterback Ricky Ray threw more passes on Saturday as he recovers from off-season shoulder surgery.
He is eligible to come off the six-game injured list on August 8 when the Argonauts host the Saskatchewan Roughriders in their first game at Rogers Centre.
It remains to be seen if Ray will be ready to play by then.
Meanwhile, kicker Swayze Waters is improving as he works his way back from a hip flexor injury but no return date has been set for him either.
The timetable for the injury was set at 4-6 weeks with this week being his third week on the shelf.
The Argonauts, who have yet to play at home this season, continue their marathon road trip against the B.C. Lions on Friday.
