The Hamilton Tiger-Cats got some fortunate news Thursday in regards to DT Brian Bulcke's knee injury.

Head coach Kent Austin said Bulcke's injury suffered Wednesday in practice doesn't appear to be serious.

"He's going to get an MRI but I think we're in good shape," Austin told reporters. "We definitely dodged a bullet."

According to a report from the Hamilton Spectator, the veteran Canadian hurt his knee in one-on-one drills and was fitted with a brace. Bulcke didn't participate in Thursday's session.

The Ticats have impressive national depth at defensive tackle, but earlier this off-season lost former first overall draft pick Linden Gaydosh to a torn Achilles.
