BUFFALO, N.Y. — Billy Bridges scored two goals and Corbin Watson made six saves for the shutout as Canada blanked Norway 5-0 on Monday at the IPC sledge hockey world championship.
Adam Dixon, Greg Westlake and Tyler McGregor had the other Canadian goals.
"I thought the guys played a really good game," said coach Ken Babey. "We had solid defensive structure throughout and that's what we're focusing on — playing sound defensively."
Canada (2-0) will close out its preliminary round Wednesday against the Czech Republic at HarborCenter. The Canadians opened the tournament with a 17-0 rout of Japan.
The semifinals are set for Friday and the medal games are scheduled for Sunday.
