FLYERS (23-22-8) at CANADIENS (34-15-3)

TV: CSN-PH, RDS, SNE

Season series: The Montreal Canadiens have beaten the Philadelphia Flyers twice this season, once each at home and on the road. The Canadiens' PA Parenteau scored two goals in the teams' most recent game, a 6-3 Canadiens win Nov. 15 in Montreal.

Flyers team scope: Defenseman Braydon Coburn hasn't been happy about not being to do much physical since leaving the lineup because of a lower-body injury sustained Jan. 12. He took out some of those frustrations Monday on teammate R.J. Umberger. Coburn and Umberger got into a skirmish during practice when Coburn got angry over Umberger's stick coming up high on him during a 3-on-3 drill. Coach Craig Berube had to break things up. "I'm trying to get it more like game play every day," Coburn said, according to CSNPhilly.com. Berube said he didn't mind the altercation, telling CSNPHilly.com, "It gets you going and gets you involved. It's part of the game. … Those are good things. It doesn't mean you have to fight. But I always stress to our team to be physical, get in there and bang bodies." One player missing from practice was rookie goaltender Anthony Stolarz, who was recalled from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League on Monday and will be the backup to Ray Emery on Tuesday.

Canadiens team scope: Dale Weise is an unlikely candidate for a top-line NHL player, but in two games playing right wing along with center David Desharnais and left wing Max Pacioretty, Weise has been producing like a top player. The 26-year-old had two goals Saturday in a 6-2 defeat of the New Jersey Devils and a day later had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 defeat of the Montreal Canadiens. "I don't have the answer why things are clicking for me," Weise told the Canadiens website Sunday. "Our line just has a lot of chemistry. Me, Davey [Desharnais] and Patch [Pacioretty] love playing together. Early in the year when we had some shifts together we just had some instant chemistry. Getting a chance to play together for full games, we're really getting comfortable with each other. We just feel dangerous every chance we get to go out there." While the Canadiens didn't practice Monday they did get some good news, with Desharnais being named NHL Third Star of the Week.
