Canadians Milos Raonic and Jesse Levine were second round victims at Wimbledon Thursday morning.
The 17th-seeded Raonic lost in straight sets to Igor Sijsling of the Netherlands, 7-5, 6-4, 7-6, while Ottawa's Levine dropped a 6-2, 7-6 (7), 6-3 decision to eighth-seeded Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina.
Del Potro, the 2009 U.S. Open champion, overcame a 3-0 deficit in the second-set tiebreaker before taking the third set in 31 minutes.
The loss prevented Levine from equalling his best career Grand Slam result. He reached the third round at the All England Club in 2009.
Levine, the world No. 112, put up a solid defence against the Argentine after dropping the opening set. He had a 5-3 lead in the second set but del Potro came back with a break before winning the tiebreaker on his third set point.
