(ELKHART LAKE, Wisconsin – June 22, 2013) – Andrew Ranger is on a road course roll. The Roxton Pond, Quebec, driver has won two consecutive ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards road course races and now has his second Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell award. Ranger went out in the first group qualifying session Saturday and captured the pole for the SCOTT 160. "I was very happy with my qualifying run," Ranger said. "I really like the course. I've been here a lot of times and really like running here." Qualifying second was Austin Dillon (No. 52 Drive4COPD Chevrolet), third was Chase Elliott (No. 9 Aaron's-Hendrickcars.com Chevrolet) and fourth was Ryan Blaney (No. 22 Cunningham Motorsports Dodge). "The top few cars are a really good, really fast," Ranger said. "We just have to be patient. It's a long race." The 40-lap race is the first ever for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards at Road America, a permanent road course that has been in operation since 1955. There are 14 turns, some elevation changes and tight corners that make it a tough course to maneuver a stock car on. Tom Hessert will start fifth in his Barbera's Autoland Cunningham Motorsports Dodge, Chris Buescher sixth in the Roulo Brothers No. 99 BeavEx-Reliance Tool Ford and A.J. Henriksen seventh in the ECC Toyota for Venturini Motorsports. The rest of the top 10 includes Justin Boston, in the No. 25 ZLOOP Computer & Electronics Reycling Toyota, Mason Mingus in the WinTron Racing 811 Call Before You Dig No. 32 and David Levine in the No. 43 Richard Petty Driving Experience Dodge. Frank Kimmel, in the Ansell-Menards No. 44 Toyota, will start 12th in his quest for all-time ARCA Racing Series victory No. 79. Will Kimmel qualified 11th in his Kimmel Racing Ford but caused a full course caution during his qualifying run when his car skidded in sand off the track. Ranger also won the pole for the 2011 ARCA race at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the same course that he has won two straight races on. The SCOTT 160 will go green about 12:45 p.m., which is following qualifying for the NASCAR Nationwide Johnsonville Sausage 200.
