Oh deary deary me... You can pre-order the Oppo BD-83 at amazon.com for $500 with free shipping. I've clicked through until the final buying point and it actually seems possible to have it shipped to Europe for free. Not only would it be an awesome deal considering the exchange rate, but it would also be the first time they'd actually export electronic equipment, something which has never been possible before on Amazon for reasons of warranty. --
