It's been a productive month for the Portland Winterhawks' Brad Ross.
Ross scored two goals on Wednesday as his Winterhawks defeated the Victoria Royals 6-3 in Western Hockey League action.
The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect currently has a six-game goal streak that started back on December 3rd and includes eight goals and 10 points in total.
Joseph Morrow had a goal and two assists for the Winterhawks (21-11-3), Taylor Leier and Chase De Leo had a goal and an assist each and Taylor Peters added a single goal.
Brandon Magee led the Royals (13-20-4) with two goals while Ben Walker had the other.
Mac Carruth made 29 saves for the win as Keith Hamilton turned aside 48 shots in defeat.
Portland scored twice on three power-play opportunities while Victoria went 1-for-6.
Ross is currently fifth in league goals with 24 in 35 games, which has him on pace to crush his career high of 31 goals in 67 games from last season.
Elsewhere in the WHL, it was: Brandon 3, Regina 2 (OT); Moose Jaw 4, Edmonton 3 (SO); Prince George 3, Calgary 1; Kamloops 3, Vancouver 1 and Seattle 4, Everett 3 (SO).
At Portland, Ore., Morrow opened the scoring 2:02 into the game to give the Winterhawks a 1-0 lead.
Magee scored just over three minutes later to tie it for Victoria, but Ross scored at 18:04 to give him team a 2-1 edge after 20 minutes of play.
De Leo and Peters scored 24 seconds apart in the second period, increasing Portland's advantage to 4-1.
Magee scored his second of the game, by way of power play, to cut into the Winterhawks lead, however Leier scored with the man advantage at 18:30 to restore a three-goal cushion heading into the third period.
Walker scored at 3:37 of the third for the Royals but Ross scored again on the power play to give Portlanda 6-3 victory.

At Brandon, Ryley Miller scored 1:23 into overtime and Brenden Walker scored twice in regulation as the Wheat Kings (21-14-2) edged Regina (19-15-4).

At Moose Jaw, Sask., Sam Fioretti scored the shoot-out winner and Luke Siemens made 27 saves as the Warriors (23-9-4) defeated Edmonton (24-9-4).

At Prince George, B.C., John Odgers, Troy Bourke and Austin Daae all scored in a Cougars (13-21-2) victory over Calgary (17-16-3).

At Kamloops, B.C., J.C. Lipon picked up two assists and Bronson Maschmeyer's second period goal stood up as the winner as the Blazers (25-9-3) defeated Vancouver (23-13-2).

At Everett, Wash., Seattle (15-17-1) got past the Silvertips (6-21-8) as Luke Lockhart scored twice in regulation, then the winner in the shootout.
