Canadian forward Zack Kassian had an extra game added to his automatic suspension at the World Junior Hockey Championship, forcing the 19-year-old to miss Friday's test against Sweden in addition to Wednesday's game against Norway.
In Canada's 7-2 win over the Czech Republic on Tuesday, Kassian delivered a vicious hit that sent Czech player Petr Senkerik to the hospital. The Canadian received a five-minute major, a game misconduct and an automatic one-game suspension for the hit.
After winnings its first two games, Canada is atop Pool B with six points, holding a slight edge over Sweden (also 2-0-0-0) because of goals for (13-9).
