EDMONTON -- Head coach Ken Miller won't be playing the redemption card this week as he prepares the Saskatchewan Roughriders for their Grey Cup rematch with the Montreal Alouettes.
Montreal edged Saskatchewan 28-27 in last year's game following a heart-breaking penalty on the game's final play.
The Alouettes had missed a 43-yard field goal, but got a second chance after the Riders were called for having too many men on the field.
Montreal kicker Damon Duval then connected from 33 yards out to give the Als the shocking win.
During the Grey Cup coaches news conference Miller said redemption is a poor motivator. Instead, he's focussing his team's thoughts on what lies ahead and what it needs to do to be successful.
Montreal and Saskatchewan meet Sunday in the Grey Cup game at Commonwealth Stadium.
