The Calgary Flames signed forward Curtis Lazar to a two-year, $1.9 million contract (average annual value $950,000) on Friday.
Lazar, who became a restricted free agent July 1, had a goal and two assists in four games with the Flames after being acquired in a trade with the Ottawa Senators on March 1. He did not have a point in one game for the Flames in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Lazar, 22, the 17th pick of the 2013 NHL Draft, has 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists) in 180 career NHL games with the Flames and Senators.
