I use a software called Avdshare Audio Converter to convert between various audio formats like FLAC, DTS, WAV, MP3, M4A, AIFF, AAC, AC3, WMA, AU, RA, Opus, etc.

to flac format for tagging purposes. I looked at eac3to, but I get the
impression I'd need to install some third-party convertors & codecs,
most of which are not free.
