A baby girl is joining Jason Thompson's family!
The Young and the Restless star is going to be a second-time dad, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
He and wife Paloma Jonas are gearing up to welcome a daughter this September. She will join big brother Bowie Banjo, who will celebrate his first birthday on May 23.
"The last year with our son Bowie has been the best of our lives," says Thompson, 40. "I love being a dad, and we're really looking forward to bringing a girl into our little family."
"No doubt Paloma is excited," adds the actor of his wife, 32. "Between me, Bowie and our dog, she's anticipating a sweeter smell in our home!"
Aside from his newer turn on The Young and the Restless — he joined the cast as Billy Abbott in early 2016 — Thompson is best known for his longtime role as Dr. Patrick Drake on General Hospital, which he played for over a decade beginning in 2005.
Fashion designer Jonas runs a successful lingerie line, Valentine NYC. She tied the knot with the Canadian actor in April 2015 in San Pancho, Mexico, during a beach ceremony.
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS at 12:30 p.m. EST / 11:30 a.m. CST.
